POST:Accountant

Summary: The Insurance Regulatory Authority is a state Corporation set up to regulate, supervise and develop the insurance sector in Kenya.
Description:
Reporting to the Senior Accountant, key responsibilities of the selected candidate will include:
  • Originating and processing various accounting information in a computerized environment
  • Preparation and checking of payment vouchers
  • Carrying out bank reconciliations and analyzing various general ledger accounts
  • Updating of subsidiary ledgers, registers and other accounting records
  • Assist in the preparation of various financial and management reports
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting Option) or related field
  • Hold CPA ( K ) qualification or equivalent
  • Have worked for a minimum period of three (3) years in a comparable position.
  • Experience in the public sector will be a distinct advantage.
  • Should be below 35 years of age.
