Summary:	The Dhow Countries Music Academy is a not-for-profit, non-governmental music school based in Zanzibar. DCMA is looking for a Chief Executive Officer starting in April 2010 to manage and develop one of East Africa's premier creative music centers. The contract will be for an initial one-year period with the possibility of extension.
Description:
Requirements:	The prospective CEO should have the following:- Strong professional record Substantial experience in Educational and / or Arts management. Considerable experience in proposal writing, fundraising, finances and staff management Excellent leadership skills / team player Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English; skills in Swahili will also be preferable. Proven ability to communicate to the public and cooperate with stakeholders Willingness to engage with local Zanzibar music & culture. Ability to deal creatively with logistical problems; We offer a competitive local salary. Closing date for application is January 31 - 2010.
