Description
Devex is currently assisting a leading international organization in its search for a Lead Consultant to provide technical assistance for a donor co-ordination and aid effectiveness project in Georgia.
• Graduate degree in economics, public administration, development studies, business administration or political science.
• 10-15 years of experience in development with an emphasis on donor co-ordination / aid effectiveness issues.
• Thorough knowledge of the policies and procedures of major donor agencies.
• Experience of defining clear sector strategies for donor alignment and providing policy advice on how to implement donor co-ordination and aid effectiveness principles in practice.
• Good knowledge of the political, economic and social context of Georgia would be considered an advantage.
• Experience in leading small multi-cultural teams and being directly accountable to senior-level decision-makers.
• Experience of working for a national administration in the management of aid flows/donor coordination would be considered an advantage.
• Must have advance skills in common Microsoft office programs
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English

Position Details:
The position is based in Georgia and starts in April- May 2010 and the duration of the assignment is expected to be 9-12 months.
