This is a supervisory position that involves administering human resources policies, programs and practices: including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating, and directing. Duties include formulating policies and procedures for the Human Resources Department and recommending policies and practices to senior management.
Responsibilities
•Annually review and make recommendations to Executive Management for improvement of Organization’s policies, procedures, and practices on human resources matters.
•Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and insure organization's compliance.
•Responsible for organization’s compliance with Federal and State legislation pertaining to all human resources matters; staying current on recent federal, state and case law changes; and monitoring labor law updates and newsletters for changes that affect HR.
•Supervise the staff of the Human Resources Department.
•Monitor performance appraisal, risk management, and safety programs.
•Communicates changes in organization’s policies and procedures and insure proper compliance is followed.
•Assist executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of organization’s compensation program.
•Conduct needs assessment, develop training curriculum and conduct training sessions on various HR topics.
•Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, and/or as directed by the CEO on human resources matters.
•Propose, publish, and administer human resources policies.
•Work directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on human resources matters.
•Oversee and make changes to an effective recruitment program.
•Recommend, evaluate, and participate in staff development for the organization.
•Develop and maintain a human resources system that meets HR information needs.
•Participate on committees and special projects and seeking additional responsibilities.
•Design and revise human resources forms and direct the maintenance of records by all departments.
•Obtains bids upon renewal, confer with management regarding benefits and payroll costs, make recommendation as to employer/employee cost sharing
•Finalize year-end reconciliation audits and reports.
•Finalize all HR internal audits and approve necessary adjustments.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
•Master's Degree in Human Resources Management or related Human Resources field required.
•Eight to ten years related experience and/or training.
•PHR/SPHR required.
•Should be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and gather and analyze information skillfully.
•Must have strong management skills; includes staff in planning, decision-making, facilitating and process improvement; makes self available to staff; provides regular performance feedback; and develops subordinates’ skills and encourages growth.
•Should have strong time management skills through prioritizing and planning work activities, using time efficiently and developing realistic action plans.
•Must have strong written and oral communications skills.
•Should be able to inspire and motivate others to perform well, accepts feedback from others.
•Must be able to delegate work assignments, set expectations and monitors delegated activities.
•Should be able to actively promote and personally observes safety and security procedures, and use equipment and materials properly
•Must be eligible to work in the United States
