POST:Area Manager – East Africa

Summary:	JOB IDENTIFICATION: Job Title: Area Manager – East Africa Supervisors Title: Regional Business Manager - AME MAIN PURPOSE: Manage East Africa office Plan and implement Marketing & Development activities Develop new distributors and product portfolio in East Africa. Countries covered by East Africa Office: Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania.
Description:	KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Plan and implement sales support activities in collaboration with distributors in the area. Understand customer needs, build report with them and superior and timely customer care. Develop the market in the area in collaboration with RBM and the regional product management team. Ensure timely product availability in the area in collaboration with the regional product management team Support the sales budget for the area Develop evaluations of markets, products and competitors. AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY; Manage growing East African Office. Support in achieving sales budget for the area Keep costs in line with the approved budget. Support the RBM in negotiating prices and terms of sales with distributors in the area. Ensure timely product availability to distributors in the area Maximise profitability in accordance with the limitations set by the budget Sales and marketing activities, including representation within the frames of the approved budget.
Requirements:	A hard worker with a service oriented positive attitude. A good listener with strong analytical & innovative mind. The candidate must be ambitious and sales development oriented but with good technical understanding. Office management experience including administration skills, basic accounting skills, and staff management skills. Minimum 5 - 7 years experience with AG-Chem business in Kenya, with at least 3 years of management experience. Experience in the other Eastern African countries is a plus. Working experience in multinational AG- Chem company. Minimum a BSc, preferably MSc in Agriculture, a marketing/MBA degree is a plus. Excellent IT skills and good with numbers .
